TV Writing
Introduction to episodic (TV) writing:
- Created original material that utilized screenplay and story structure effectively.
- Applied standard screenplay format and terminology with precision.
- Wrote a pilot episode screenplay and developed a rough outline for an eight-episode first season.
- Analyzed and assessed my work and my peers' work creatively, focusing on screenplay structure, form, and style.
- Participated in and contributed to workshops, refining my own creative work and offering constructive feedback on others' projects.
World: Magazine Workplace/Comedy
Engine: Goal-oriented - Making various workplace/personal conflicts, surprises, and
accomplishments made this would make for an interesting television series! This show would
begin with the main protagonist arriving at their new residence, in a new city and location for
them. This would help build a bond with the protagonist and get a good sense of who they are
as a person before they are in the workplace and interacting with others. As the series
progresses, the main protagonist would be shown in various environments, tasked with different
duties (apartment, city, magazine workplace, coffee shop, interviews), and interacting with
different types of individuals along the way.
